Blog: History and Music

My blog page here will include my wandering thoughts and observations on musical styles, history, and stories that I've heard or read along the way. I'll explore the many styles of music I've been involved with, how they've evolved, and the unexpected connections between them.

My interest in music is pretty immersive. When I take on a project or style, I tend to do as deep of a dive as I possibly can. I like to ask questions, wonder "why" a lot, read as much as I can, and seek out people who have opinions or know the answers. I welcome your thoughts and questions and hope you will share your discoveries and perspectives too.
